THE JOB OPPORTUNITY: Database Administrator WE OFFER THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Design and maintain Oracle, Sybase and MS SQL Server database environment Be responsible for all aspects of architecture, performance management, maintenance, and disaster recovery of the Burns & Wilcox enterprise database infrastructure Proactively monitor and tune databases to perform optimal performance and maintain appropriate disaster recovery plans for mission critical databases Work closely with development team to architect and implement database structures for ongoing development projects Work closely with development team on PL/SQL and T-SQL development including functions, triggers, procedures, packages
WE EXPECT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE TO: Transform UML data models into functioning databases Have significant experience with ETL Have experience with data modeling tools (Erwin, etc.) Be proficient in OLTP and Data-warehouse data modeling Have Experience in load testing, maintenance and performance monitoring Have experience in a pure Microsoft Windows environment Have experience in Business Intelligence systems Be able to multitask and work quickly in a fast paced environment Work independently Have strong verbal and written communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 3-5 experience in Oracle databases with an emphasis on 10g (RAC helpful) 3-5 years experience in Microsoft SQL databases COMPENSATION Competitive compensation and benefits package available to successful candidates.
