Data Analyst Project Analyst

Premised with the understanding that knowledge is power, MSB software and tools enable businesses to utilize their data, along with MSB provided analytics and automation to arrive at better, more consistent business decisions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Produce analytical studies to be presented to Clients
o Executing defined scope of delivery; including: data cleansing, data manipulation and analysis
o Coordinate project completion across multiple groups internal and external to the organization
• Execute a variety of statistical approaches to analyze large data sets
• Produce Power Point presentations for deliverables
• Some interaction with clients to understand project definitions/scope
• Draft scope documents to define deliverables
• Special research and development projects on an as needed basis
• Design metrics for a variety of purposes
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of Bachelors degree in Math, Economics, and/or Statistics. Masters degree preferred.
• Experience in performing regression analysis, correlation analysis, predictive modeling and other statistical methods.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, beneficial.
• Knowledge of commercial or residential construction and building, beneficial.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Good clerical and organizational skills.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Good – Excellent skills in word processing, use of spreadsheet programs, and database programming. (Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project; Statistical software applications preferably S-Plus)
• Working knowledge of SQL software preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS:
• Good – Excellent skills in word processing, use of spreadsheet programs, and database programming. (Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project; Statistical software applications preferably S-Plus)
• Working knowledge of SQL software preferred.
