The work environment is fast-paced, furious, and high-energy. You'll get the chance to work with bright, highly motivated people on a daily basis. Position Responsibilities: - Collect, compile, analyze and load data- Define and develop data extract, transformation and load rules- Research new data sources and evaluate data quality- Construct and maintain physical databases- Develop ETL logic for loading and unloading database tables- Apply analytical skills to troubleshoot problems- Analyze and understand relational data models and corresponding data mappings Desired/Preferred Qualifications- Two years of solid experience in compiling and analyzing data is required. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. - Strong communication skills, both written and spoken are required - Comfortable working independently, and have experience working in a team environment.- Must be a self starter with the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment- Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities while working with a high degree of accuracy.- Applied knowledge of Oracle RDBMS is required.  Oracle 10g preferred- Proficiency in SQL and some database programming experience (Queries, Stored procedures) are required. - Applied knowledge of relational databases and data modeling concepts- Demonstrated experience using MS Excel and Access features and techniques required- Demonstrated experience in analysis and presentation of data required. - Experience working with a variety of information systems and data files, including large and complex files: analyzing file structure, using and creating file layouts, transforming raw data into finished products- Experience with IBM Datastage ETL technologies and data scrubbing tools is preferred- Understanding of the Property Casualty insurance industry with particular focus on the distribution channel is preferred- Ability to analyze, identify and troubleshoot database related application issues  SUMMARY:Provides expert programming and/or analysis skills for specific systems assignments.  Acts as the interface between the systems and the technical support areas when additional technical support is required PRIMARY DUTIES:An expert technician or analyst assigned to a single system or group of small systemsHas demonstrated the ability to perform programming and analysis functions at a very high degree of accuracy and speedHas advanced research and analysis skillsBuilds effective alliancesDemonstrates a personal commitment to technologyCan express technical solutions in the terms of business OTHER:Technical KnowledgeHas expert knowledge of at least one applications discipline, along with the ability to rapidly learn technical/business techniques and disciplines of special value to the systems supported.  Possesses a working knowledge of the business and/or technical environments in which the system operates and a solid knowledge of the business function supported.  Demonstrates the desire and aptitude to become the expert in one or more technical or project management disciplines and applies substantial effort to gaining more knowledge in that area Business Knowledge & PartnershipWorks effectively with business unit to formulate specifications and present results of analysis.  Works with management to establish schedules.  Places high priority on services and consistently meets scheduled dates.  Handles business contacts with clear, concise communication in business terms and adjusts to changing priorities.  Demonstrates attitude of willingness, cooperation, and concern for business issues Problem Solving & Decision MakingDevises technically feasible solutions for moderately complex problems.
