Customer Service Rep/Care Coordinator - Bilingual
ONE CALL MEDICAL, INC., (OCM) is a premier outsourcing organization servicing the Workers' Compensation industry, providing the highest quality scheduling service through its national network of credentialized providers. OCM is a national leader in its industry. OCM is currently seeking outstanding Bilingual Care Coordinators for its Parsippany, NJ based call center. We offer an attractive compensation and benefits package.
This position is responsible for the handling of all incoming and outgoing telephone calls related to scheduling MRI's, CT's and EMG's for patients at centers in Company network, ordered by physicians and received from various insurance companies, nurse case managers, employer's of self-funded plans, doctor's office or direct from the patient.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned).
* Receive telephone calls, faxes, Internet messages regarding the initiation of a referral or the scheduling of a patient as a result of an existing referral.
* Secure all necessary information about the procedure being ordered, the insurance company authorizing the procedure, and the patient.
* Confirm that the procedure is authorized by the respective insurance company.
* Contact the patient and designated center to arrange appointment for procedure and enter appropriate information into internal software to conform with OCM standards.
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
* Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
* Must be able to type a minimum of 20 words per minute with accuracy.
* Must have strong telephone and interpersonal skills. Candidate will need to communicate with others in a professional environment.
* Must be able to provide excellent customer service and good judgment when dealing with payers, providers, and patients.
* Must have strong organizational skills to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner in accordance with performance standards. Will be working on several patient files simultaneously.
* Must be flexible in regards to work hours. Must have the ability to work after hours and weekends if necessary.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School degree or G.E.D. with one year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
