MetLife, a leading provider of insurance and other financial services to individual and institutional customers, is seeking a Corporate Benefit Funding Sales Analyst in Iselin, NJ! MetLife’s responsiveness to the needs of both clients and employees is a direct result of one of the core company values– People Count.This person is a member of the Corporate Benefit Funding (CBF) Sales Team. This individual will support the new business sales activity related to non qualified deferred compensation plans and other corporate and bank liability funding needs using our private placement and registered life insurance and annuity products. You will be part of a team working with sophisticated specialty Brokers and Consultants in the COLI (Corporate-Owned Life Insurance), BOLI (Bank-Owned Life Insurance) and TOLI (Trust-Owned Life Insurance) markets. You will also gain exposure to the products and services offered in other parts of the Corporate Benefit Funding lines of business. Major Duties and Functions Include: Uses illustration systems to illustrate non-qualified deferred compensation products Manages relationships with Brokers (primarily from large firms) and MetLife CBF Sales Directors Works with internal MetLife partners to transition cases that have been sold to MetLife for servicing Tracks case management and activity for new sales opportunities, inputs appropriate data into system Performs research on Brokers and companies that are presented to MetLife What You Need to Succeed: 1-3 years’ financial analysis experience, prior experience working in Corporate Benefits a plus An understanding of the deferred compensation and liability funding markets and the special products used in these markets Excellent written and oral communication skills Sense of urgency and a commitment to excellent customer service Strong aptitude in Math - ability to learn and understand complex mathematical models and communicate them to a non-technical audience Demonstrated ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with partners in a cross-functional organization Strong attention to detail Understanding of mainframe administrative systems Knowledge of PC-based Illustration and Inforce Modeling systems helpful Proficiency with MS Excel (create spreadsheets) and MS Access (run queries) Bachelor’s degree preferred – Finance, Math or Actuarial majors strongly desired FINRA Series 6 license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
