Premium and other deposits totaled $29.4 billion in 2007.   MassMutual is organized as a mutual company.  It recently ranked number 90 in the Fortune 500 and was also named one of Fortunes “Most Admiredâ€� companies.  MassMutual’s headquarters is in Springfield, Massachusetts.  RESPONSIBILITIESThe Compliance Director will oversee various compliance aspects of advertising and sales literature review for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company and MML Investors Services, Inc. and MML Distributors, LLC, broker-dealer subsidiaries.  The Compliance Director will review and approve home office prepared advertising and sales literature (including public and producer use items, web sites and training materials) pursuant to corporate, SEC, NASD, MSRB and the NAIC Model Act.   Manage relationships with business area submitters and their management teams. Lead and work on cross-functional teams, special projects and departmental initiatives as directed by management.   REQUIREMENTS Excellent working knowledge of insurance and securities regulations as applicable to variable and non-variable life, disability income and long term care insurance. Ability to develop creative and practical solutions to meet business units' and compliance and regulatory needs. Experience managing relationships with key home office constituencies. 7-10 years advertising experience. Familiarity with ComplianceMax (advertising review system) a plus. College degree. NASD Series 7 and 24. Organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities a must.
