Compensation Analyst

We are looking for a Java/J2EE Developer with solid experience to join our team. You will be a key player in bringing existing customized functionality to our business partners, for agility and ease of use.
The Programmer Analyst will create detailed technical designs and perform programming tasks within a team environment, delivering projects and insurance products to a large user base. Based on prior experience, the candidate will make recommendations to effect change.
Experience with the following required:
*Minimum 3 years programming, with at least 2 years Java/J2EE web development and analysis and Java 5 experience
*Proficiency with JSP, HTML, Javascript, XML and experience with OO design & Development concepts
Experience with the following preferred:
*Database concepts, JDBC and SQL native stored procedures for database connectivity/access
*Eclipse, or other web application development tool
*UML and UML tools
Experience with the follow is "a plus":
*DAO design pattern experience or others
*Application implementation via Hibernate and/or Seam framework
AS/400 (iSeries) development and DB2 database experience
JSTL, AJAX and Websphere experience
In addition, here are some minimum requirements for the role above:
* Ability to provide peer to peer technical mentoring.
* Minimum three years experience in programming and technical analysis.
* Proven analytical, decision making, and problem solving abilities.
* Understanding of file normalization and data modeling techniques.
* Procedural development/workflow analysis experience helpful.
* Ability to use MS Word is a must.
* Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
* Able to provide accurate estimates based on technical knowledge.
* Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Able to comprehend and apply a working knowledge of a system development methodology preferred.
