We work with independent insurance Brokers who sell employee benefit products to businesses nationwide. At BenefitMall, we view ourselves as an extension of each Broker's support team. We provide Brokers with local market expertise, product price quotes, client proposals, enrollment support and ongoing client services. The Commissions Coordinator contributes to a dynamic team and works closely with team members and carriers. The primary role of the Commissions Coordinator will be processing broker commission payments, processing cash receipts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and taking deposits to the bank. Responsibilities: Enters cash receipts via carrier payment detail uploads, creates spreadsheet uploads or enters directly into commission system. Resolves any payment application errors. Set up new cases, enters new case information into the new case Log. Ensures commission system cash receipts plus non-system cash receipts equals the deposit amount. Enters deposit information into Deposit Log. Processes broker commission checks and statements. Processes any broker charge backs or levies. Communicates with brokers and carriers to resolve any issues and/or answer questions. Takes deposits to bank. Recommends process improvement measures when identified. Retrieves decrypts and formats carrier payment detail files. Requirements: Accounting or Finance Bachelor or Associates Degree preferred and a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years related work experience. Experience with computerized accounting systems. Experience with MS Access and Crystal Reports is a plus. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, and navigating Internet Explorer. Read and analyze moderately complex job related documents and financial reports. Communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing. Develop and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and external contacts. Work in and contribute to a positive team environment.
