Commercial Lines Manager

Our client is an innovator in providing a wide variety of specialty and hard-to-place lines of insurance. They presently offer an opportunity to join their organization as a Commercial Lines Manager in their location in the western section of the state of New York. In this key operations role you will be responsible for the development and management of the commercial lines department. Monitor and manage premium production and workflow for the underwriters and their collective assistants. Our client offers: The ability to work independently within a supportive environment. Commercial Lines Manager Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day underwriting activities for commercial lines to include: marketing efforts; proper and timely response to brokers and agents for all new business submissions/renewals.

Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.

Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy.

Work closely with the Customer Care department to maintain proper business flow. .

Work closely with Compliance Analyst to ensure any out of state business is dealt with appropriately in regards to state insurance laws and regulations.

Act as a liaison between the underwriting and claims department.

Commercial Lines Manager Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.

A minimum of five to ten years of related work experience in a risk management position for all property/ casualty and professional lines of insurance.

Strong understanding of underwriting, claims, compliance and customer care areas.

Must have superior project management and process improvement skills.

Innate ability to use an analytical approach to resolve complex issues.
