Are you looking for a challenging position that is going to test your technical skills? Safeco is looking for a highly trained individual to join our Claims Team as a Claims Specialist.We are seeking an individual with a proven ability to balance the responsibility of managing a claims case load of complex Commercial Auto Liability claims (including large loss), with the responsibility of developing the technical knowledge of others through mentoring, training and file supervision. The ideal candidate must possess advanced Bodily Injury claims handling skills (at least 3-5 or more years), preferable experience handling claims valuing more than $100k+ and highly complex coverage files. As a Claims Specialist, you will: * Have demonstrated success in developing and training others both through mentoring and formal training * Be highly skilled in advanced coverage analysis and bodily injury evaluation * Have excellent written and verbal communication * Have demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability combined with analytical, quantitative, qualitative, and creative skills.* Must be able to independently handle litigated filesThis position will handle claims from multiple states in the Eastern time-zone. Candidates will work out of the Indianapolis office.
