For more information, visit www.prudential.com Incumbent's duties include professional evaluation of illness & injury claims for rehabilitation potential, assessment and/or identification of restrictions & limitations, based on physiological, psychological and social factors, to assist claim management staff in their claim handling activities.  Incumbent applies clinical training and knowledge to the assessment of disability cases. Provides claim management staff with medical insight to assist them in determining appropriate next claim management steps and/or potential for vocational rehabilitation services.  Incumbent will determine when phone contact with claimants and/or their care providers is needed for either information gathering or clarification of information.  Primary method of contact is the telephone. The position is classified as professional, non-supervisory and would be found in a corporate facility/regional office.  Per client selected, non-standard plan provisions, incumbent may be responsible for case management functions.  This is not a Utilization Review position. **  Requirements include RN designation, with two or more years of relevant clinical experience.  Position will be working out of the Roseland, NJ location.   **  Successful candidates would have 2 to 5 years of experience investigating and managing short term and long term disability claims. **  Requirements include RN designation, Physical or Occupational Therapist with three or more years relevant experience. ** Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills Prudential is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and is committed to diversity in its workforce.
