Client Representative - Surety Practice
Description
A Client Representative assists brokers and clients in meeting surety bonding needs. The Client Representative is the day-to-day point person on assigned accounts. The Client Representative needs to understand the clients' surety requests, interact with the respectively insurance carrier(s) and then respond quickly to proper parties.Specific responsibilities include:
Receiving/reviewing requests and ensuring appropriate information is sent to the UnderwriterCommunicating requests to underwriters, obtaining approval and/or communicating with the client when additional info is neededTyping and execution of surety bondsFrequent client phone contact as well as contact with insurance carriersObtaining/receiving guidance from Client Advisor on difficult issues and program-related mattersFile maintenanceBillingVerification and processing of renewalsReceivable collectionsVarious administrative duties
Has an Associates degree OR equivalent work experience. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of company-sanctioned e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet software, as well as in-house, proprietary financial and sales-reporting systems, and navigation within the Internet. Possesses fundamental knowledge of office databases and company-sanctioned presentation software. Has an understanding of basic insurance principals. Must have excellent oral and communication skills.
