The teams are responsible for using the latest technology to manage an assigned caseload of claims and the manager is responsible for ensuring superior delivery of claims services/products across each team. In addition, the position is responsible for ensuring employees have the needed training and are in compliance with regulatory and company standards. Responsibilities: -Develops, manages and directs staff to ensure the superior delivery of claims services. -Ensures teams are compliant with all legislation as well as corporate and local policies and programs; may periodically conducts team audits. -Recruits, develops and manages human resources in order to create a high performing results oriented staff -Responsible for all managing the performance management program including establishing and communicating objectives to the Team Managers, providing on-going coaching and conducting performance reviews. -Ensures all receive communication of corporate/department policies and procedures -Assists Regional Claims Manager with the successful operation of the office Qualifications: BS/BA degree or equivalent plus 7-10 years of claims experience  Ability to develop, manage and direct an office operation and to effectively communicate operational procedures to assigned teams. Comprehensive knowledge of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage and state regulations.
