Title: Claims/Risk AnalystReference code: 004E-F44F-USType of position: Full time Location: Portsmouth, NH Job Duties and Responsibilities · Provide initial and on-going advocacy on serious, catastrophic or specialty claims, including detailed analysis, interpretation and negotiation of coverage’s and reserves.· Notify underwriters and team leaders of highly significant cases. · Coordinate the servicing of all accounts in accordance with client and carrier requirements and professional standards.· Gather and review loss information and prepare claim summaries and exhibits for quarterly claim review meetings with TPA, program team and association, if applicable.· Coordinates and conducts quarterly claim review meetings with TPA and team. · Review and analyze client/program loss information to determine loss trends and other claims-related or loss control issues. · Provide analysis, interpretation and recommendations to the underwriting team and management regarding individual client loss information and/or the overall program.· Identify loss leaders in the program and work with underwriting to develop action plan to change results.· Respond to and advocate on claims, coverage and exposure questions from the TPA.· Monitor the performance of carriers/TPAs, acting as liaison between carriers/TPAs and clients, addressing service issues and documenting service issues to senior management as appropriate. This includes timeliness of claims handling, monitoring of reserves and verifying data integrity.· Developing and growing relationships with clients, carriers and TPA.· Oversees Loss Control Coordinators for timely ordering of loss control, follow-up on recommendations and ensures consistency and quality of reports being generated.· Performs other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience College Degree and three to five years experience in insurance claims examination, investigation, adjudication or advocacy, including auto, general liability, property and workers’ compensation claims. Appropriate state adjusters licenses required. Professional designations preferred. Other Requirements Good oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment; ability to work in a fast paced environment with seasonal volume. Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite. Character of Supervision Received Must be a motivated self-starter able to work independently, establishing priorities and managing assignments in a timely fashion. Character of Supervision Given Day-to-day supervision of two Loss Control Coordinators including acting as a resource and monitoring workloads and assignments.
