DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Accurately adjudicate all types of claims other than “specialty claims.â€�Apply plan rules and processing guidelines to pay, or deny claims. Manage and follow up timely on all pending claims, and bring to resolution. Review and determine eligibility and coverage. Learn and apply insurance principles and any applicable federal and DOL rules and regulations. Update claims system with applicable claim/patient data. Perform COB, No-fault, Pre-existing, and other claim investigations. Contact employers, providers and participants, as necessary. Identify provider and PPOs, and obtain appropriate pricing. Utilize Claim Workflow system for work assignments, routing, and follow up.   Handle all claim responses and related claims in a timely manner.

 REQUIREMENTS

 High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred. Good typing skill and/or 2 years CRT experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good judgment and decision making abilities. Basic math skills. Good customer service skills. Ability to understand medical and surgical terminology.

 Our offices are currently located in New York City, however, before the end of the calendar year we will be relocating to the White Plains area of Westchester County.
