In fact, over 100 million Americans rely on us each year, whether we’re answering routine questions or helping with complex medical and travel emergencies. Today, Mondial Assistance is hiring for:CLAIMS EXAMINER - BANKCARD Job Summary : Review submitted bankcard claims, determine eligibility for benefits and the amount of possible payment. Provide outstanding customer service. Essential Job Functions (other duties may be assigned):  Review claims: analyze documentation, determine coverage in accordance with policy benefits, conclude what, if any benefit applies and the amount to be reimbursed. Make initial contact with customer upon receipt of claim and effectively communicate what documentation is required; demonstrate care and empathy. Answer incoming telephone or email inquiries from claimant regarding the status of their claim. Enter determination and relevant notes into PeopleSoft in accordance with guidelines. Collaborate with other departments as needed to verify or obtain missing information. Research discrepancies and/or escalate questionable claims to Team Leader. Handle inbound and outbound phone calls, including benefit disclosure and first notice of loss calls. Non-essential Job Functions (performed on an infrequent basis):  Set up initial claim information in PeopleSoft. Assist with special projects. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Some college coursework preferred. At least 2 years’ claims processing/review experience needed.    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Possess a professional demeanor Demonstrated superior customer service skills with ability to diffuse conflict Possess a willingness and desire to help others Ability to demonstrate care in handling customer needs and build a trusting rapport with customers Flexibility: ability to adapt to on-going change and work in a fast-paced, customer focused environment Ability to acquire product and business knowledge and share that knowledge with customers Ability to apply feedback, take initiative and be accountable for work product Professional verbal communication skills Excellent telephone and Email etiquette skills PC skills: efficient data entry and internet research skills with ability to work in Windows based applications, including MS Word Knowledge of claims processing beneficial Effective negotiating skills Reading and comprehension skills Logical thinking and decision-making skills Analytical skills with strong attention to detail Ability to multi-task and prioritize Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Work Environment (includes physical requirements):Office environment; continuous sitting at desk while using PC.  The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job.
