ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

In this position, you will be responsible for gathering and preparing materials of claimants for benefit eligibility and to provide continuing assessment of claimants for benefits and appropriateness of care.

 

Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday

Travel: None

Typically interacts with: co-workers, external clients and agents

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Gather accurate benefit eligibility materials for claimants based upon policy provisions, proposed care plans and assessment of clinical data.

2.  Meet or exceed quality goals of procedural accuracy.

3.  Maintain productivity.

4.  Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, all aspects of plan coverage, provider requirements and steps in the claim process during initial intake calls and subsequent calls.

5.  Assist with on going claimants through monitoring care plans and reassessments.

6.  Monitor ongoing weekly reports and work appropriately including open/active, inactivity, and record ordering.

7.  Attend case conferences twice per month, once to participate and once to present a case. 

8.  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

 

QUALIFICATIONSPreferred college degree or equivalent business experience Preferred  4 years work experience with claimsProficient with Windows products including MS Word and Excel Flexibility to adjust to fluctuating and changing assignmentsExercise a certain degree of judgment on questionable claims and claim appeals Organized and detail-orientedIndependent workerCustomer service oriented
