located in Fairfield, California. Essential Functions  Â· Using best claim practices, investigates, evaluates, reserves, processes and settles claims from both simple to a complex nature, requiring in depth knowledge of subject matter,  within scope of authority, workload guidelines, time and service standards.  · Working knowledge of applicable coverages and coverage issues and ability to properly analyze and apply coverage.· Effectively manage the performance of and provide direction to adjusting companies for losses requiring assistance by a field adjuster/independent to ensure compliance with company rules, policies, procedures and policy language. · Responsible for claims in multiple jurisdictions. Requires understanding of different jurisdictional laws/issues.· Responsible for providing timely quality claim service that meets or exceeds the needs of customers and business partners.· Evaluate claims, provide guidance to adjusting companies and address policy coverage issues, escalating as necessary.· Effectively manage vendor’s expense by utilizing Independent adjusters and experts only for tasks that cannot be preformed in-house.· Timely and accurately set loss reserves and effectively manage loss adjustment expense· As necessary, coordinate activities with insured’s and adjusting companies to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of claims.· Recognize problematic claims files and develop appropriate claims strategy with an eye towards litigation avoidance.  Minimum Requirements  Education, training, and experience:· Bachelors, Associates Degree and/or equivalent work experience.  A minimum of at least two years of experience in adjusting personal lines property claims.  Insurance related course work; such as CPCU, IIA, AEI, etc. preferred.   Knowledge, skills, and abilities:· Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite. · Good working knowledge with construction estimating programs and building construction repair and remediation processes· Self motivated, strong planning and organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to exercise independent judgment, evaluate claims utilizing analytical skills, recognize problematic situations and put into effect creative solutions· Must be able to obtain and maintain state adjuster licensing in applicable states.· Works well under stress or tight deadlines· Works well with management and co-workers   For immediate consideration for this position, please submit your resume to jobs@geovera.com and reference requisition # 8CL15 GeoVera Holdings Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.  We actively promote a drug-free workplace.
