We are one of the leading insurance companies in the United States.  Our superior financial strength and consistent record of strong operating returns mean security for our customers - and opportunities for our employees.  You will find Travelers to be full of energy and a workplace in which you truly can make a difference. We are currently looking for a Claim Representative Auto - Total Loss Unit.  Please read on for more details regarding this position. JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY:Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve claims.  Satisfy customer needs and ensure file quality. PRIMARY DUTIES:Provide voice-to-voice contact within 24 hours of first report.Handle low to moderately complex cases.  Settlement authority will vary.Obtain facts to evaluate coverage, negligence, medical necessity and causation/damages.Identify subrogation opportunities; handle adverse subrogation and arbitration.Establish and maintain appropriate claim and expense reserves.Handle litigation on low-exposure cases.
