We are seeking a talented candidate for our Claim Representative position in our No Fault Department.

Position Summary:
Provides efficient and effective disposition of assigned claims through timely investigation, evaluation and resolution.  Provides and implements action plans for proper handling of  PIP claims.

Primary Job Duties:
Completes appropriate level of investigation to make determination coverage and determine best course of action for the claim. 
Makes timely and appropriate contacts with policyholders, injured parties, attorneys and medical providers
Determines exposure, establishes adequate initial reserves and makes timely adjustments as required.
Responsible for verification of all medical, wage and other expense claims
Responsible for the timely medical management of claims
Timely handling of all correspondence and bills per NYS Regulation 68
Identifies questionable claims and works closely with SIU as appropriate.
Documents clearly and concisely all relevant activity on assigned files
Anticipates and meets all customer needs (internal and external).
Able to handle a fast paced environment and be a team player.
 
Decision-Making Authority/Accountability Level:
Under moderate supervision, identifies and resolves coverage issues, assesses liability, and damages. Exercises considerable discretion and independent judgment, and is capable of analyzing and determining exposure for basic claims.

Experience/Qualifications Required
Knowledge of NYS Regulation 68. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Must have the ability to interact with customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including current Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Outlook. Must maintain a level of accuracy, and provide follow-through on projects. Requires the ability to maintain confidential information and work independently and as a member of a team. High School diploma with 1-3 years of insurance claims experience
 
Preferred Bachelors degree, experience working in an imaged environment.
