We are looking for an experienced Claim Program Manager to be located at our Sun Prairie (Madison), WI corporate headquarters. We are seeking high-caliber, quality driven people to join an industry leader as we continue to grow and expand.In this position you will work alongside our highly skilled and professional Claims team. You will be a key member within the Claims team, leading many functions within the department and a highly visible member throughout the entire organization. You will be challenged to achieve top performance and attain maximum results within the claims department. You will be recognized as a "go to person" and subject matter expert in the property claims area. Your keen ability to make quick decisions, use sound judgment, think and act independently, and manage projects will have significant impacts throughout the department and the entire organization. You will need to put your highly polished communication/interpersonal skills to extensive use as you will be collaborating/consulting with other department leaders, peers and other internal/external customers. You will also be asked to provide training to our agency force and company personnel regarding property claims. Please read further for the complete job description.Coordinate, consult, and manage resources for effective claim (property) disposition for assigned line of business. This job coordinates the technical file handling for the assigned line of business and branches, on files in excess of branch authority levels.To successfully perform this job, the individual must be able to perform each essential job responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be to enable an individual with disabilities to perform the essential job responsibilities. 1.Review authority levels for claim offices and participate in audits of technical claim operations. 2.Approve and recommend reserve adequacy and settlement authority for Home Office reportable claim files. 3.Interpret insurance contracts and determine the disposition of coverage questions. 4.Coordinate and participate in technical training of claim personnel. 5.Provide technical assistance and direction on claims submitted by claim offices. 6.Monitor and analyze management reports to identify trends for purposes of advising senior management. 7.Provide technical guidance and advise peer staff. 8.Recommend standards for technical performance of claim personnel and vendors and monitors those standards. 9.Consult with claim personnel and other Home Office claim personnel on claim handling issues. 10.Improve processes within the Company to increase the level and quality of service provided to internal and external customers.Qualifications:The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities normally required for competent performance in the job.Required Education and/or Experience:oBachelors degree in Business, Insurance, or related field, or its equivalent. oContinuing education related to the job such as AIC/AIM/CPCU programs. o7 or more years of relevant claim management consulting experience to include technical claim supervision and investigation experience, with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities.
