Claim Account Manager - Property Casualty Insurance

State Auto Insurance Company, an eighty-seven-year-old, A+ (Superior Rated) property-casualty insurance company has an opening for an experienced Claim Account Manager to work in our Austin, Texas, office.  This position is responsible for providing claims services and working on projects of a large and very complex nature through claims cost containment and consultative risk improvement service for one or more lines of business. This position is also responsible for the coordination of national accounts. Occasional overnight travel will be required.

 

Qualified applicants should possess 10 to 15 years of related experience.  Excellent technical knowledge of industry trends, developments, current standards and regulations in multiple areas are necessary. Excellent understanding of Claims Management Services of highly complex accounts is required.  An understanding of claims handling of highly complex and most technically sophisticated risks is also required.  The ability to provide claims management and cost containment services to improve loss potential on highly complex and/or specialized accounts is necessary. This position also requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.  A BA/BS or equivalent experience with a professional industry designation (e.g., CPCU, AIC, SCLA, ARM, etc.) is preferred.
