Call Center Customer Service Representative
The Donegal Insurance Group is looking for experienced licensed Call Center Associates/ Agents for our newly formed Call Center. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates that are looking to advance and grow within the insurance industry. This Call Center will feature state of the art telephone and computer software programs that will service our customers and independent agency force with ease.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Handles incoming calls and/or e mail from existing customers, independent agents and or third party sources in accordance with company guidelines. Outbound calls and follow up as required.
Provides general policy information to policyholders and agents regarding available personal lines insurance products for multiple states.
Answers customer and agent questions relative to billing issues and payment plan options for both personal and commercial lines of business.
Researches and obtains accurate personal lines underwriting information.
Provide a range of customer service and sales support to policyholders and agents according to established standards and guidelines.
Maintains understanding of service techniques and personal lines products.
Ensures high customer service standards to attract and retain customers.
EXPERIENCE
Two plus years’ prior customer service or related work experience.
Call Center or Service Center experience preferred.
Knowledge of property/casualty insurance products, insurance processing systems/procedures in accordance with Best Practices, state regulations and customer service practices.
EDUCATION
License in property/casualty (or must be obtained in order to continue employment)
Certified Insurance Service Representative Designation a plus
High School or GED equivalent.
Completion of undergraduate degree or some undergraduate studies preferred.
Demonstration of self-development by maintaining continuing education credits required for designations.
SKILLS/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Strong verbal and customer relationship skills to communicate technical insurance information to policyholders, and agents.
Ability to operate a computer and related business and insurance software.
Organization, prioritization and multi tasking skills within a fast paced call environment.
Bi lingual language skills are a plus
