CROP CLAIM SUPERVISOR II

To assist in the supervision of crop insurance loss adjustment/auditing functions at a regional (field) level. To support achievement of corporate and regional service level and loss adjustment expense goals within an assigned geographical location.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists in the supervision of assigned field staff. Makes recommendations regarding proper personnel practices including hiring, performance evaluation, salary administration, promotion, transfer, and termination. Trains and develops staff.

2. Ensures that claims are adjusted correctly according to established loss adjustment guidelines. Adheres to file documentation standards, and Crop Division reserving methodologies and practices.

3. Adheres to appropriate performance and productivity standards for the efficient adjusting of all claims within assigned territory.

4. Informs management of training and quality deficiencies; monitors claims to ensure high quality service delivery while upholding claim integrity standards.

5. Provides feedback to marketing, underwriting and management staff regarding the quality of business and/or policy files.

6. Supervises field claim staff to ensure timely, accurate and professional service to all agents and policyholders.

7. Provides recommendations as to the establishment of regional goals, plans, strategies and operating methodologies.


ASSOCIATED RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs other duties as

3-5 years claim adjusting experience including 2 years supervisory experience.
Thorough knowledge of coverages, claim practices, procedures and systems.
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and managerial skills
Bachelors degree or equivalent business/work experienceills.
