BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

JOB TITLE: Business Development Specialist

LOCATION: Charlotte/Raleigh Area

 

SUMMARY: Training and development of representatives on conducting offsites via PFP standards. Identify Business Development opportunities while maintaining strong relationship with new and existing Credit Unions.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

Training

 

¨ Conduct workshops on a regular basis.

¨ Field training will all representatives in their region

¨ Visit multiple sites during an individual day when needed.

¨ Must be available to work different shifts for those employer groups that may have 24 hour operations.

¨ Must be available for scheduled Saturday sites

¨ Review all representatives through evaluation sheet at all sites.

¨ Develop a progress report for each representative to be forwarded to Angelo Ciro ( monthly/quarterly)

¨ Identify those representatives who excel at conducting sites

¨ Conduct training at PAT when needed.

¨ Cover Business Development topics during all monthly regional meetings

¨ Review  goal status at all regional meetings

¨ Attend all products/services training offered by the Credit Union

¨ Cover sites that may not have a representative assigned due to call outs and/or schedule conflicts

¨ Attend all outreaches ( new groups, existing employer groups)

¨ Complete continuing education credits as necessary.

 

Credit Union Relationships and Identifying  Business development opportunities

 

¨ Achieve and maintain a professional working relationship with the credit union

¨ Meet with Credit Union’s Business Development Department to identify goals

¨ Review Credit Union's Employer Group list

¨ Identify Outreach opportunities ( New and existing groups)

¨ Meet regularly with assigned employer groups/ semi-monthly/monthly/quarterly

¨ Attend Credit Union sponsored functions

¨ Entertain key individuals within the Credit Union

¨ Attend  Marketing meetings as required by the Business Development Manager.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/GOALS

 

¨ Achieve minimum  regional Business Development production expectation

¨ Maintain a solid business relationship with credit union/work site personnel.

¨ Identify “new” Business Development opportunities within assigned Credit Unions

¨ Conduct a formal evaluation of each representative within region on a quarterly basis (minimum)

¨ Always represent PFP in a positive and professional manner.

¨ Adhere to dress code and conduct code as stated in PFP Handbook.  If credit union/client dress code is more stringent than PFP’s, it takes priority and must be adhered to.

¨ In all instances, utilize good judgment in business situations; refrain from discussing anything considered company business with anyone who is not employed with PFP.

¨ Maintain and practice a high degree of work ethics at all times.

¨ Assess needs of clients and members in order to maintain good professional relations.

u  Business Development experience

u  Credit Union Business Development experience (optional)

¨ Ability to travel, as necessary, to work site locations ( multiple locations during the day)

¨ Ability to approach and close prospects on the sale of insurance products as well as Credit Union products

¨ Exhibit enthusiasm for the job.

¨ Ability to be outgoing and an effective/persuasive communicator.

¨ Support management decisions.

¨ Flexible (Able to work flexible hours/ multiple shifts including Saturdays)

¨ Must be able to prioritize

¨ Self Motivated

¨ Motivate others

¨ Good organizational skills.

¨ Ability to work well with others.
