Associate Underwriter

Responsibilities:  Conducts comprehensive underwriting review of new business applications for auto and home insurance within assigned territory. Exercises decision making within established letter of authority against state underwriting criteria. Completes delegated duties and projects assigned by State Underwriter and/or Underwriting Management. Qualifications: Candidate must have demonstrated decision-making ability and strong interpersonal communication skills. Candidate must be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment yet be able to work independently. Prefer some post-secondary education and/or insurance industry coursework.  Minimum of 1 year personal lines property casualty experience preferred.
