These are the foundations of how we do business with our members, as well as how we treat each other. USAA is currently seeking talented Associate Claims Adjusters for the Sacramento, CA location. As an Associate Claims Adjuster for USAA, you will create loss reports, confirm coverage, explain procedures and answer inquiries for adjusting auto claims. You will analyze information obtained to establish validity of the claim, legal liability and settlement value. You will also evaluate and negotiate settlement of automobile first and third party physical damage claims within established settlement authority limits. You will educate our members on the value of being a member of USAA. Qualified candidates need to possess: High school diploma (or equivalent) and either 1 year of relevant P&C claims adjusting or 2 years of relevant USAA policy service experience OR a bachelor's degree. Computer litercay in a Windows operating environment. Acquisition and maintenance of adjuster's license. Availability to work between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. Preferred experience includes: Auto claims adjusting experience and inbound phone intensive/call center environment. Ability to recognize liability exposures. Ability to analyze coverage questions. Demonstrated ability for detail-oriented work while using sound, critical thinking skills. College education and/or job related course work. Strong negotiation and investigation skills.
