MetLife’s responsiveness to the needs of both clients and employees is a direct result of one of the core company values– People Count.Summary of Responsibilities: As part of Corporate Customer Relations, this individual is responsible to review customer complaints (both oral and written) to determine the type and nature of the complaint. This review includes customer complaints for all Individual Business distribution channels. Responsibilities also include determining the specific coding of the complaint for regulatory and compliance reporting and entering data into the Enterprise Complaint Tracking and Reporting System (ECTR). May also control the administrative complaints to the appropriate administrative areas and ensure the complaint is addressed in an accurate and timely manner. The successful candidate will have good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, in an often stressful environment. Will also demonstrate an eagerness to learn new systems and become familiar with various companies’ products and services. Major Duties and Functions Include: Responsible for reviewing customer complaints to determine type of complaint. Responsible for entering the appropriate information into the Enterprise Complaint Tracking and Reporting System Responsible for the integrity of coding in the complaint database to ensure accurate compliance and regulatory reporting. Sends letter to customers acknowledging receipt of the marketing complaint. Works with various areas, both inside and outside the Company including but not limited to customers, Insurance Departments, administrative offices and sales offices. Perform other duties as assigned or required. What You Need to Succeed: High School Graduate or equivalent training. Typically 0 – 2 years experience within the financial services industry Excellent keyboard skills Knowledge of the organization’s operations, field distribution channels, products and services. Good written communication and telephone skills. Requires tact, poise and diplomacy when dealing with issues and problems. Ability to perform multiple tasks Must be familiar with or have the ability to learn MetLife and affiliate mainframe and web-based applications Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
