Annuity Business Specialist

Essential Functions:This position is responsible for analyzing existing book of business and for being proactive with regards to retaining assets. Analyzing industry and competitor trends and make recommendations to senior management on how to be competitive in the market place with ways to keep client assets with FDL. Monitoring and creating ad hoc reporting to determine competitor trends and/or the business environment. Interacting with senior executives and keeping them informed of relevant issues effecting asset retention. Responsible for all aspects of agent licensing from initial appointment to ongoing monitoring of licenses and agent termination. This includes but is not limited to review and analysis of existing standards for appointing agents and, potentially, creating new policies, standards and practices for appointing agents to do business with FDL. Identifying and addressing unethical behavior by contracted agents. Overseeing compliance with FDL Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements on a regular basis. This includes but is not limited to awareness of updates and notices as issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and implementation and/or review of new or existing policies and practices as required by the FDL Legal department. Working with vendor (LIMRA) to facilitate training for employees, agents and provide reporting to HCSC and FDL personnel as needed. Working with Legal department on getting AML courses utilized by partner organizations reviewed and approved. Serving as back up to internal sales staff and handles projects as assigned.Required Skills:The selected candidate will meet the following criteria: · College degree and four years of financial services, annuity, or life industry experience OR eight years of financial services, annuity, or life industry experience.· Experience with AML, licensing and agent support.· Organizational skills.· Experience building working relationships.· Knowledge of annuity products.· PC proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Word.· Problem solving skills.· Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
