Actuarial Analyst/Actuary
Our client has grown from a small local property casualty company to a diverse corporation known for its innovative insurance products and superior customer service. They are strongly rooted in the Southeast, with the specialized experience and geographic focus of a major regional carrier. At the same time, they offer their policyholders and agents the broad-based expertise and technological resources of a national company. They presently offer the opportunity to join their organization as an Actuarial Analyst or Actuary depending on experience.
The purpose of these positions is to assist the product managers in the development of new and existing products. The scope of these positions encompasses product implementation, product management and on-going review of all products in order to recommend improvements and increase profitability. The role of this position within the Company is to serve as a "point person" for product managers. You will analyze products to ensure profitability and sale ability through product reviews consisting of rate comparisons and indicated rate changes. Additional responsibilities will include completing all state data requirements necessary to file programs with the State Insurance Departments.
To be consider you must offer a BA/BS in mathematics, actuarial science, or other technical degrees, a minimum of four or more years experience within a property casualty environment, and completion of two actuarial exams. Must have knowledge of mathematics, statistics, probability, and/or principles of finance. You must have a positive, proactive attitude, natural inquisitiveness, strong attention to detail, accuracy, excellent and creative problem solving, analytical, and statistical skills.
