WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?The Account Specialist effectively manages ongoing customer contacts and service issues for the Field Office in partnership with the Home Office. In this position the incumbent will manage the new business issue and delivery process, including data collection and integrity, quality of deliverables, and process cycle times. Working in partnership with the Sales Rep, the incumbent is responsible for identifying Cross Selling opportunities within the assigned block. This position focuses on the high volume transaction-oriented process that encompasses 85-90% of the business for the office.Partner with Sales Rep on development of initial and ongoing customer specific strategies to include developing and identifying block expansion. Achieve new business and cross sell goals through execution of customer specific management and expansion strategies in partnership with the Sales Rep. Understands product provisions for all products and is able to assess the customer’s need for additional products. Effectively coordinates enrollment activities for voluntary products. Collects the appropriate/accurate information to produce customer deliverables. Educates and asks questions to ensure customer understanding of administrative procedures and deliverables. Sets accurate expectations and follows through on timeframes. Schedules pro-active service calls. Responds professionally, timely and accurately to customer inquiries/issues. Develops an effective service plan for assigned accounts, performs service functions as required, and coordinates all service activities.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?1-2 years of customers service experience Demonstrates professional courtesy and competence in the content, tone and delivery of presentations with customers. Able to draft professional communications to customers when needed. Transaction oriented and able to accurately handle a high volume of work. Proficient with required PC systems to process the work.
