JOB DESCRIPTION: The Technical Development Program is designed to prepare highly-motivated college graduates for a technology career at Travelers. The program can be tailored to emphasize software development, business analysis, business intelligence, operations or a combination of functional technology areas. The program focuses on developing participants¿ strengths and interests by offering a curriculum that includes training in cutting-edge technologies, insurance and leadership, along with supporting on-the-job assignments. Qualified candidates should be self-starting, energetic and creative individuals interested in starting their IT career in a challenging and fast-paced environment that offers opportunities for growth and personal success. Participants should hold an undergraduate degree in computer science, computer or electrical engineering, information technology, management information systems or mathematics with a minor in information technology. A minor in business administration is a plus. Additional requirements include: > Passion for technology and business> Preferred GPA of 3.0 or greater> Prior internship or work experience> Motivation to succeed> Strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical skills> Extracurricular involvement> Legally eligible to work in the United States LocationsThe program is offered in Hartford, Conn., Saint Paul, Minn., and Hunt Valley, Md. Targeted start for this position is June 2009 unless otherwise identified.
