We Need Project Managers of ALL LEVELS NOW!

Description

Major insurance firm based in the Hartford Ct. area needs several project managers to drive fast-moving projects and manage resources in the completion of development projects. Candidates should have experience in the insurance industry, preferably Property and Casualty or Worker’s Comp insurance claims.

Responsibilities

Direct the efforts of multiple units within a division to satisfy  Client requirements by establishing team and business objectives and  Monitoring overall performance to those objectives; review key development opportunities to ensure success in meeting area's service level objectives; conduct and direct project analysis including pricing and sizing of client requests or the costing and financial planning of internal projects; ensure the area reaches its annual Revenue Goals by establishing aggressive Revenue Projections and directing division resources in the achievement of those expected results; in conjunction with or in support of Management, provide key interface and communication at a senior management level with the client to maintain  a strong customer focus for the division; direct project team efforts and resources to ensure that corporate business objectives and projects are complete within the timeframe and budget expectation approved by Sr. Management; ensure quality objectives are met, as specified within client service level agreement (s); direct project team efforts to ensure the clients' key business objectives or performance/service

level objectives are met.

Requirements

Strong insurance; 5 to 10 years management responsibilities at a system and product line level; familiarity with applicable business concepts, experience managing project resources, proven leadership skills, the ability to learn quickly, check details, meet deadlines, strong client focus and organizational skills, people management skills,  interpersonal and communication skills, and financial analysis, including budgeting concepts and financial reporting.  Some methodology background or PMO work is required.  Must have experience working in a matrixed environment.

Ideally the person should:

- Be experienced with managing IT related projects
- Have a background in the Insurance Industry
- Have applied PM methodologies such as SDLC in their project work
- Have worked at one time for a Professional Services Organization, such as IBM Global Services, EDS, Perot Systems or a large software firm such as Software AG.

Plusses

Any experience with .NET technologies is a huge +.
