STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Â
I.                    Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Hotel Accounting, responsible for a wide range of accounting and financial reporting activities including general ledger account reconciliations & analysis, preparing & reviewing financial statements, sales tax returns, assisting with audits & special projects.

II.                    Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Support multiple hotel operations in a wide-range of
     accounting and financial reporting activities.
·        Reconcile Hotel balance sheet accounts each month as
     directed in an accurate and timely manner.
·        Assist with the monthly closing process for multiple hotels.
·        Effectively Interact with a wide-range of internal and external
     associates as needed.
·        Continually evaluate accounting & financial reporting
     procedures and offer suggestions for process
     improvements.
·        Perform other accounting duties and assist with projects as
     directed.
·        Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information.
 III.                    Qualifications and Requirements
Education:   Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance, bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:Â Â Minimum one year of financial accounting or equivalent experience. Hospitality experience preferred, but not required.

     Skills and Knowledge:
·        Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
·        Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work
     effectively with staff, consultants, vendors, and customers
     in a highly professional manner.
·        Effective written and oral communication skills including
     ability to relate to various audiences.
·        Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
·        Ability to complete tasks accurately and within prescribed
     deadlines.
·        Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple
     priorities in a timely manner and with a high degree of
     accuracy.
·        Strong analytical skills and ability to exercise good judgment.
·        Ability to work both independently and in a team
     environment.

      area hotels or in other locations.
