Safety and Loss Control Manager

The incumbent is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and compliance with the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino (SMIBC) Safety Program(s) ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, Tribal policies and ordinances related to all safety, health and accident prevention programs determined essential to establish and maintain a work environment that supports the optimum safety and health of all employees, vendors, visitors, contractors, Tribal citizens and guests while minimizing any potential liability to the Tribe. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises five (5) or more Safety/Loss Control Specialists and/or Quality Control personnel within the SMIBC Safety/Loss Control Department. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelors of Science degree or a combination of an A.A. degree and equivalent relevant Safety/Loss Control experience. Individual must have at least 3-5 years of safety, accident prevention, loss control management experience. COMPUTER SKILLS Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Etc.) and the Internet.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Safety, O.S.H.A. or other Safety & Health compliance training certificates. TB Test (annual), Food Handlers Permit, Serv-Safe Serving Food Certificate. Must undergo and successfully pass pre-employment drug screening.Must undergo and successfully pass background investigation conducted by the San Manuel Gaming Commission to obtain and maintain a Class "A" Gaming license issued by the San Manuel Gaming Commission.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
