Real Estate Leasing Agent - Residential

Summary: 

Responsible for processing rental applications, showing apartments to prospective tenants and performing various projects and tasks in support of the Assistant Property Manager and the Property Manager.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    Escort prospective tenants through apartment complex and designated apartment, explain all facets of the apartment complex and management and provide general demographic information.

2.   Process rental applications by verifying relevant tenant data such as employment, income, prior residence(s) and rent payment history, and document results accordingly.

3.   Submit rental applications to management for determination.

4.   Contact applicants to inform of application status, and schedule move-ins according to schedule.

5.   Answer multi-line telephone and respond to inquiries by applying knowledge of rental information regulations.

6.   Perform various duties such as figuring rent percentages, typing, entering data into computer, filing and retrieving files in an efficient manner.

7.   Translate tenant information accurately to prepare tenant leases.

9.   Maintain and submit a weekly traffic report regarding all inquiries and responses concerning rental information.

10.  Work closely with the Assistant Property Manager and Property Manager to identify ways in which to increase traffic flow through various advertising and sourcing methods.

11. Walk Market Ready Units and create Punch List

12. Walk Move-Out Units

13. Conduct New Tenant Orientation





14.  Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1.     Minimum 3 years of multi-family leasing experience.

2.     Proven verbal and written communication skills.

3.     Ability to establish strong interpersonal relationships with team members, tenants and vendors.

4.     Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize work and attention to detail.

5.     Strong customer-service skills.

 

Education: Associates or Bachelors Degree Real Estate Salesperson License
