Payroll Tax Analyst

Responsible for multi-state payroll tax activities including compliance with local, state and federal regulations and auditing those returns.  Responsible for audit and reconciliation of quarterly and year-end reporting to stated and federal government agencies.  Liaison to external tax consultants and services. * Process, audit and review the quarterly / yearly calculation and reconciliation of state unemployment returns * Process, audit and review the quarterly / yearly calculation and reconciliation of 941 / 940 Federal Tax Returns * Reconcile and verify the accuracy of the Tip Allocation analysis for 8027 returns * Calculate, reconcile and prepare year end analysis for W2 processing * Coordinate and oversee the entire year end W2 process to ensure accurate and timely reporting * Provide high level of customer service to outside agencies, company employees, and internal  customers/departments * Document and update tax procedures * Prepare year end and tax audit schedules * Create Peoplesoft queries for more efficient and productive reporting methods * Review and research tax laws and changes to ensure compliance * Quarterly reconciliation of local, state and federal tax liabilities * Oversee accurate and timely payment and filing of taxes to local, state and federal agencies and the maintenance of an efficient and productive team environment * Calculate, file and submit payment requests, as necessary * Reconcile local, state and federal tax accruals, entries, payments and associated GL postings * Reporting of yearly census, 8027's, New Hires and FICA tip credits Education/Training:*         4 year business degree or equivalent payroll tax/accounting experience*         3+ years of multi-state payroll/payroll tax and garnishment experience*         Restaurant experience and/or tip processing a plusKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:*         Knowledge of PeopleSoft payroll system including Query and Crystal*         Knowledge of Infinium AP system helpful but not required*         Knowledge of ADP Tax System*         Excellent oral and written communication skills*         Multi-task and detail oriented; ability to problem solve*         Knowledge of General Ledger Accounting systems Company: Brinker International Location: TX 75201 Company: Brinker International Address: TX 75201 Reference Code: 1377233MON
