ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

* Positive guest relations, which may involve handling inquiries regarding property and local amenities as well as assisting guests with problems related to their stay at the property
* Positive employee relations, and supervision of employees during any absence of the general manager.
* Implementing and maintaining Motel 6 quality and audit standards.
* Safeguard all Property assets, maintain the integrity of the Property’s Key Control Policy and ensure compliance with the company’s Safety and Security program.
* Assist general manager with maintenance of property books, including daily bookkeeping, pay records, and bank deposits.
* From time to time may need to clean rooms, help with maintenance and laundry.
* May perform duties from all other property job descriptions as needed or at the direction of the general manager.

 

Requirements
The following requirements may change depending on the individual property and according to the confines of the workspace available for any required task.

* 2 years hotel experience, front desk, guest services or Assistant General Manager out of the Hotel, Retail or Restaurant Industry.
* Some Supervisory experience. Able to mentor, train and work with a diverse staff.
* Stand, walk, or sit alternately, depending on specific daily demands. Approximately 50% of the time is spent on feet and 50% sitting at a desk. 
* Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
* Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
