Front Office Manager Full Service Hotel

Job Description:

 

Full Service Hotel is seeking an experienced Front Office Manager.  The FOM is responsible for the overall operation of the front desk including room rental, reservation management, night audit, employee staffing and training, record keeping, report preparation and guest relations.  The FOM must be hands-on, self-motivated and proficient in revenue management.  Must achieve planned goals as measured by revenue, house profit and RevPAR index.  Responsibilities include the overseeing of room reservations, front office systems, supply inventory, scheduling and forecasting as well as work a varied shift schedule including evening hours and weekend Manager On Duty rotation.  Additionally will participate in the selection of front office staff by conducting first interviews and assisting the GM during second interviews and reference checking.  Will conduct orientation, training, cross training and retraining of all front office staff and assist in the evaluation of staff through performance appraisals.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Two or more years experience in a hotel guest services setting with direct supervisory experience over a guest service department.  Will be required to be available to work nights, weekends and /or holidays.

 

Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and be able to contribute to the over-all guest satisfaction goals of the hotel.  This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent math and accounting skills.  Must have extreme attention to detail for all aspects of guest service.  Must be a team player and be able to interact effectively with all levels of hotel staff and management and contribute to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the company.
