Banquet Manager
The Jonathan Club, an upscale member only club and ranked among the top clubs in the world is currently recruiting a Banquet Manager.
Job responsibilities include:Working closely with all management to achieve the club's goals and objectives.Provide training to service staff to ensure banquet service standards are achieved and maintained. Provide ongoing training to continually improve presentations, set ups and decorations.Meet with the Executive Chef, Director of Catering, Beverage Manager and respective staff to review weekly functions for menus, guarantees, room set up, event timing and to provide timely information regarding changes.Maintain accurate files on reoccurring club events, members, organizations and catering events for improvement of future occasions.Enhance the club's community profile by staying abreast of new development standards and new service techniques.Assign work tasks based on banquet event orders with all details for upcoming events. Ensure staff understanding and completeness for event success.Maintain oversight and accurate inventories of equipment, audio visual inventories and set up standards. Oversee, supervise, direct, coordinate, influence and persuade staff in order to maintain service standards of the Jonathan Club.
Qualifications include:Bachelors Degree in Hotel Administration or equivalent experience.Minimum of three years progressive experience in a luxury property.Prior experience in Banquets and Food Service Operations.Thorough knowledge of Banquet and Catering Operations.Thorough knowledge of budgeting.Ability to effectively supervise, train and direct staff.
