Job Description: Retention, Outreach and Education DirectorWorld Trade Center Medical Monitoring and Treatment Program Mount Sinai Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine Position available immediately at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine. New York City. The Retention, Outreach and Education Director will implement campaigns for recruitment and retention of World Trade Center responders in the the medical examination program. S/he will work with unions, volunteer organizations and other groups representing WTC responders. The position will also include implementation of patient/worker education programs.Qualifications: Candidates should have experience in developing campaigns utilizing a range of tactics and approaches, including: -Speaking at union and organizational meetings. -Event and conference planning.Preferred qualification: -Experience with unions or community-based campaigns -Familiarity with occupational health and/or public health programs. -Strong speaking and writing skills. -Ability to speak Spanish or Polish a plus.The World Trade Center Medical Monitoring Program is a grant-funded program that provides medical Monitoring examinations and Treatment to rescue, recovery and clean-up workers who worked following the 9/11/01 attacks on the World Trade Center. Examinations are conducted at five clinical centers throughout the New York metropolitan area. The program serves a multi-cultural, multi-lingual diverse population working in a variety of occupations.Job Qualifications: Minimum required qualifications BA/BS degree2-3 years of relevant experience Mount Sinai Medical Center is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
