Word Processing/Personal Secretary

Capabilities and Characteristics: A positive attitude is an absolute must Excellent communication skills  Organized and detail-oriented Quick learner Business writing/editing skills Proficient computer skills. An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and other Microsoft programs (PowerPoint, etc.) is a MUST!  Enjoys helping others Able to multi-task without losing quality work Must be able to type 50 wpm Personal assistant or secretarial experience preferred Experience in the dental field is a plus Some college preferred Smoking free environment

 

 

Responsibilities: Responsible for written communications to doctors, patients, and insurance companies Helps patients file their insurance claims and receive insurance reimbursements (knowledge of insurance coding/filing a plus, but not required. Our office does not file directly with insurance companies). Performs secretarial/personal assistant duties for the doctor Assists doctor in creation of PowerPoint presentations for lectures, as well as preparation of articles for publication. Some answering phones and assisting front desk. Candidate must feel comfortable marketing the practice to new patients who call in, and scheduling.
