Looking for someone with administrative background.
Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of a comprehensive multidisciplinary weight management program. Coordinates a variety of programs, group classes, etc. Presents to groups weight management instruction and a variety of related duties.
Assists in the development, implementation and marketing of weight management program.
Develops, implements and evaluates quality-assurance and outcome measures and ensures appropriate follow-up.
Assists in compiling or developing and updating education materials.
Monitors and evaluates weight management program as they evolve.
Develops a variety of presentations and provides to groups and others. Provides group instruction as required.
Coordinates large, complex internal and external group classes, meetings, etc.
Coordinates class registration procedures. Updates and maintains class registration databases. Sends class confirmation letters as required. Notifies attendees of class cancellations as needed
Orders class materials and supplies required. Prepares and submits vendor invoices to Finance for payment for class supplies, materials received. Maintains an inventory of the supplies, materials, etc.
Develops and maintains a variety of databases as required. Collects and enters data into databases. Produces and interprets a variety of reports.
Acts as a liaison with community health professional to promote programs and services.
Monitors and responds, where appropriate, to emails received from the public seeking information pertaining to programs, and events offered.
Processes standard and non-standard administrative paperwork, such as purchase requisitions, employee time sheets, expense vouchers, purchase orders, etc.
Follows-up for timely completion of processes.
Assists with special projects. Gathers a variety of documents, files and records from sources within and outside department, incorporates statistical or financial data requiring basic interpretation.
Prepares reports using established formats, graphs and charts.
Performs miscellaneous clerical duties, including collating, sorting, faxing, filing, and distributing and retrieving documents and mail.
Participates in program marketing efforts including worksite presentations as needed.
Education, License, Certification Requirements:
BA/BS in nutrition, healthcare or related field.
Registered Dietician.
Technical Skills Required:
Three to five years of experience in related field of nutrition, weight management. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to organize and plan group events. Proficient in MS office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Ability to prepare spreadsheets including financial data and be able to determine when it is appropriate to use Excel, PowerPoint or Word. Ability to create overheads for presentations, spreadsheets.Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description, may be substituted for the above requirements.
Would prefer someone with Diabetes Management skills and Obesity Management Program skills.
