The Massachusetts Medical Society, publisher of The New England Journal of Medicine, and Journal Watch publications, is searching for an experienced Web Marketing Manager.
Innovation and Growth
The Web Marketing Manager works with the Journal Watch business, marketing and operations groups to develop the overall online marketing plan to support business objectives for driving qualified traffic, maximizing the conversion lifecycle, building and maintaining circulation online, marketing site features, and building brand awareness.
The Web Marketing Manager manages the individual relationship with the physician online through audience development and communications strategy. Also oversees the Conversion Lifecycle to deliver personalized, targeted, relevant messaging and maximize the opportunity for engagement. He/she also helps to support brand marketing initiatives as set out by the Journal Watch business team.
Responsibilities:
Manages strategic, creative and technical implementation of online marketing programs, ensuring that strategic objectives and quality standards have been met. Manages the intra-departmental project plans as well as cross-departmental communication of schedules, special offers and promotions. Communicates with the Production Manager Online to ensure proper installation of new online marketing program elements including web pages, process flows and customer data. Responsible for development, analysis and communication of results of online marketing promotions to business and senior management. Responsible for making recommendations for improvement and implementing new strategies for improving circulation through the online channel. Plays a key role in new product development for new services and features. Also sets the brand marketing strategies and objectives and manages the brand marketing activities including tradeshows and general advertising. Develops and executes print advertising, direct mail, conventions/events and public relations initiatives to support the brand marketing objectives. Develops and manages the brand marketing budget.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Five years’ on-line marketing experience. Demonstrated success executing online marketing programs; familiarity with SEO and PPC marketing campaigns, developing and optimizing customer forms and E-mail marketing software; an understanding of and interest in online technology, including HTML.Experience managing outside vendors for creative development and online media purchasing.Proven management skills including ability to lead teams and manage projects; attention to detail, and analytics/problem-solving ability.Experience in use of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Relational Database/SQL.
