Vice President of Sales - CCRC
POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for the overall coordination, management and leadership of all of the sales activities for Kisco’s continuing care retirement communities. This position reports directly to the EVP of Operations and interfaces with other Kisco Home Office staff, including Sales and Marketing, Operations and Development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning:
• Responsible for the establishment of both annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with Kisco’s business plan.
• Responsible for providing an annual Sales Plan and providing quarterly (or as requested by management) updates, revisions and modifications to the Plan.
• Responsible for coordinating the specific objectives of the sales plan with all of the departments of Kisco and, most specifically with Development and Operations.
• In coordination with Kisco leadership and other Sales and Marketing staff, establishes both market and target inquiry generation and member retention strategies for Kisco
Execution
• Responsible for the successful sales management of Kisco’s CCRC’s in order to meet the objectives of each community and Kisco’s overall business plans and strategies.
• Manages all of the field and in-house sales functions of Kisco’s CCRCs. All start-up sales staff will report directly to this position until a General Manager is retained and a smooth transition occurs.
• Reviews and interviews employment candidates. Oversee the ongoing professional development of all sales related personnel involved in the CCRC marketing offices including conducting and/or organizing on-site sales training, off-site sales training, self-study training, one-on-one coaching, role-play selling rehearsals and providing training for individual and group presentations.
• Defines and manages the monthly and annual sales and sales related objectives for all of the sales personnel.
• Is expected to spend a significant portion of time in the field at each CCRC.
• In coordination with Kisco leadership, establishes compensation plans for all sales personnel including salary structures, commission plans, sales contests and bonus plans.
• Is expected to be knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or English or equivalent experience. • Five years experience in sales/marketing management or related consulting with continuing care retirement communities, with documented sales results.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. • Self-starter, attentive to detail; must possess excellent organizational and proofreading skills. • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. • Available to work overtime as needed. • Available to travel as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Normal office environment. Occasional lifting of materials. Frequent telephone work. Ability to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time. Ability to work overtime and travel as needed.
