Vice President National Accounts

Position Summary

 

The Vice President of National Accounts is responsible for the identification and development of profitable new business opportunities for the Company, the ongoing management of Client relationships after sales completion, and expansion of business opportunities within Client organizations including specific enterprise-wide customers.  The Vice President of National Accounts will develop and implement sales strategies to strengthen the Company’s revenue growth, acquire business from strategic accounts including Health Systems and develop relationships with vendor partners as assigned. The Vice President of National Accounts will also perform any and all related job duties as assigned. 

Duties and Responsibilities

 Develop, propose, and implement new initiatives for clients as well as identify sales category opportunities.Act as a liaison between operations and business development departments to prioritize client opportunities, communicate price points, budgets, and objectives as well as identify client trends and interests.Work closely with members of the operations and sales leadership team to develop and executive company strategy to achieve business model.  Coordination and development of all reporting; creation of strategic selling talking points for Corporate Sales.Create strategic selling pieces for RFP's and Sales VP's.Review, monitor and forecast pipeline and radar report maintenanceCoach, mentor, lead, and provide sales support, including sales strategy, for field sales force when jointly pursuing a National Account across single or multiple territories.Produce extensive competitor research/analysis. Build sales strategies, analyze territories, and translate raw data for review.Coordinate large complex sales to support and compliment the territorial sales strategies. Work with select clients and vendor partners as assigned to develop long term business and revenue opportunities.

Qualifications (include Education/Certification)

· Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five-seven years of sales experience with a proven track record of success.  Experience selling intellectual products or services highly desirable.

· Desire to succeed in a quota driven sales environment for a high-growth, national company.

· Proven experience in new-business development and managing personal sales strategies including large complex sales.

· Excellent presentation, writing and negotiation skills, ability to create and deliver convincing arguments.

· Strong interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and credibility quickly with an executive-level audience.

· Superior time management skills and strong attention to detail.

· Solid grounding in business concepts and dynamics.
