Utilization Management Leader – Regional MBHOThe Northern Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority, Inc. (NARBHA) has proudly served the people in its constituent counties for over 40 years. NARBHA has been designated by the State of Arizona to develop, coordinate and manage publicly funded behavioral healthcare services throughout their region. The position of Utilization Management Administrator is a new role created to develop and manage a comprehensive utilization management program. You will be an active member of Chief Clinical Officer’s management team and will be responsible for developing utilization protocols and procedures to support for both new and existing services; monitoring, analyzing and reporting authorization and denial of service trends; evaluating service utilization across the regional service network; and implementing improvement strategies to achieve appropriate utilization of services. This is a unique opportunity to shape the development, implementation and growth of a new department that assures appropriate utilization in accordance with clinical care standards, regulatory requirements and organizational goals and objectives. Your work will NARBHA achieve a competitive performance edge.The ideal candidate has a successful track record of 7 years progressive experience in healthcare utilization management, knowledge of federal utilization requirements and experience in a managed behavioral healthcare organization. You must be license eligible as a behavioral health professional in Arizona. Working knowledge of the Arizona behavioral healthcare system is a plus.Nestled at the base of the San Francisco Peaks, the mountain community of Flagstaff has the charm of a small town with the diversity and opportunities of a big city.
