User Acceptance Tester

M-F 8am-5p Shift: 1 General Responsibilities: The User Acceptance Tester will be responsible for coordinating the User Acceptance Testing efforts of the downstream systems, reports, ad hoc reporting, and change impacts. They will ensure business end to end processing is identified and tested and that existing functionality remains intact each time a new release is completed. The UA Tester will coordinate the efforts to identify the business scenarios to test.; working closely with the QA Test teams, the IT department, and the PA Analysts to ensure comprehensive testing through validation of all relevant touch-points and systems included in the test scenarios. The User Acceptance Tester will translate user requirements into appropriate test scripts and write test plans / scripts for User Acceptance testing of the MoneyGram mainframe system and/or POS automation software. They will provide management reporting of UAT progress and create and maintain UAT specific documentation. Additionally, the User Acceptance Tester will participate in defect triage and mitigation activities and assist Analysts with collecting and/or conveying data related to various projects and/or processes. They will oversee the SIMS testers; providing direction and guidance to them during each User Acceptance test. The User Acceptance Tester will review and validate data by means of Access queries, interviews, and a variety of reports and maintain both paper and computer files of source documents and departmental reports. Accuracy at all levels is critical, as data could affect work procedures, fraud investigations, cost reductions, and a variety of other processes. Skills and Experience Required: • All positions require the ability to model the Corporate Values of Respect, Courage, Passion, Teamwork and Integrity. • All positions require core competencies of communication, leadership, ability to drive change, innovative outlook and problem analysis. • Education: Associate Degree • Years of Experience: 1-3• Requirements: o Experience with UAT, Quality Analysis, Quality Control, Rational or similar tool suites preferred o MS SQL, PL/SQL, and/or Oracle experience preferred o Experience with remediation tracking and analysis o Experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, functional systems design or configuration and acceptance testing o 2-3 years MoneyGram product knowledge preferred o College degree in Business, or CIS, or equivalent business experience. o Strong analytical skills o Detail-oriented. o Strong research skills o Intermediate to advanced PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and Access o Ability to work with little or no supervision. o Excellent oral and written communication skills o Must be able to communicate professionally at all organizational levels o Strong organizational skills, including the ability to keep track of information from multiple sources. o Skills in interacting with personnel in multiple departments to accomplish work. o Flexibility to accept new tasks and learn new procedures, as necessary o Requires schedule flexibility to perform testing during launch and will include occasional weekend, evening and possibly holiday work schedule.
