Location: Jacksonville, FL 32246 Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Job duties include but are not limited to the following: *Responsible for medically underwriting all new business in the 2-50 and 51-299 group markets *Monitor trends and changing practices in state and federal regulations that have a direct bearing on health underwriting and identify the need for new or revised underwriting policies, procedures and practices *Maintain effective communication with the sales distribution channel and their support staffJob Requirements: *Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience *1+ year(s) of medical/health underwriting work experience *Experience working with medical terminology *Working knowledge of medical conditions and their effect on risk evaluation *Experience working with MS Word and Excel *Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to discuss conditions and offer recommendations to company Medical DirectorsBusiness Specific Criteria (preferred skills): *Understanding of group underwriting and rating fundamentals and principles *Understanding of BCBSF group health insurance products *Experience working with RBMS, Siebel, E-Rate, Business Objects or Stellant Professional Please Click Here to ApplyIf you are interested in applying to this position, please click on the "Apply Now" link and follow these important steps: 1.  Log-in if you have an existing profile on the BCBSF website.
