Stays current with federal, state, local and company-specific rules, regulations and practices. Supports Facility Manager to ensures staff compliance with all federal, state, local and company-specific regulations related to quality of product, employee and donor safety. Coordinates and performs new employee orientation, including company background, health and safety requirements, policies and procedures and other company expectations. Maintains complete and accurate records to ensure that all personnel are competent to perform their assigned duties. Assists the center manager in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement, initiating changes to center processes as needed, through the use of company approved procedures. Provides support to Facility Manager and QMR to manage internal and external audits, including audit preparation, audit activities and audit responses. Works closely with the Facility Manager, QMR and management team to communicate center/employee needs as they relate to training. Ensures timely completion of cross-training and annual re-certification training. Reviews employee training materials to meet initial and annual certification requirements. Monitors center training needs and performs cross-training, re-training, SOP training, preventative action training and other training as needed. Ensures that employees are trained and committed to meet customer service expectations. Participates in the identification of Leads and works with them to ensure they are properly trained. Supports center goals to attract, retain, reward, and motivate a diverse workforce. Supports the Facility Manager with center staff compensation reviews and provides timely feedback to employees. Fosters teamwork. Works collaboratively with staff, peers, and management to achieve business goals. Communicates continuously and resolves conflicts proactively. Provides regular communication to supervisors regarding training to ensure compliance with training requirements and that adequate support is provided to employees in the work area. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Assumes management duties in the absence of other management staff. Assists in center production areas as needed. Participates in management meetings and staff meetings. QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with federal and company requirements regarding the training of personnel and related record keeping. Demonstrated ability to convey technical information to others. Effective coaching, counseling, and communication skills are essential. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize. Incumbents must be or must become qualified to perform all regulated activities within the center for which the incumbent is responsible for training. Associate or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of relevant work experience within most recent 5 years, preferably in a regulated industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years of experience within most recent 5 years in plasma center operations, along with supervisory or training experience is highly desirable. Production/Office environment. Occasional travel required. May require weekend and extended work periods. Training requirements/demonstrations or assistance required in center production areas as needed may require bending, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds, along with the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours at a time).
